Corporate Health Programme

A corporate health and fitness programme is a comprehensive wellness initiative designed to improve the physical, mental, and emotional health of employees within an organisation.

The implementation of a corporate health and fitness programme can have numerous benefits for both employees and employers.

By promoting healthy lifestyles and providing resources for personal well-being, employees may experience:

Improved job satisfaction

Reduced stress levels

Increased overall productivity

Additionally, these programs may lead to a decrease in healthcare costs, reduced absenteeism, and increased employee retention rates.

Furthermore, a corporate health and fitness programme can demonstrate an employer’s commitment to the health and well-being of their employees.

This can be an important factor in attracting and retaining talent, as well as enhancing the company’s reputation in the industry.

In conclusion, a corporate health and fitness program can provide significant benefits to both employees and employers, promoting a culture of wellness and creating a healthier and happier workplace environment.

There have been numerous studies on the benefits of corporate health and fitness programs in recent years.

WHAT our programme PROVIDEs:

• INDIVIDUALISED TESTING

This first part is made of 2 components:

RESTING METABOLIC REPORT

Your body takes in oxygen and uses it alongside nutrients to power everything you do. How well your body does this is a measure of your cellular health which in turn effectively is your overall health.

The test looks at various components such as your cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and your metabolism. It uses the data collected to accurately assess your current level of health.

In addition, we use medical-grade sensors to ‘read’ the emissions from your body. As your body uses fuel it gives off unique ‘exhaust’ emissions. We read these to determine exactly how many calories you are using and where those calories are coming from – think fats and carbohydrates.

This adds up to the gold standard in setting nutrition advice based on your unique physiology. This test takes around 10 mins and simply involves lying down and wearing the equipment. This is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level or goal.

V02 MAX TEST

VO2 max, or maximal oxygen uptake, is a measure of the maximum amount of oxygen that a person can use during exercise. A higher VO2 max indicates a higher level of aerobic fitness, which is associated with numerous health benefits and is now regarded as the single biggest indicator of how long and how well a person may live.

Along with finding out a person’s maximum aerobic capacity this test also helps distinguish different energy systems or zones, arguably the most helpful of which is your ‘Zone 2’.

Understanding your zone 2 is important because it is the heart rate zone in which you can train your cardiovascular system to improve its efficiency and endurance.

Our main goal here is to learn where a person’s ‘Zone 2’ begins and ends as this is a critical zone for improved fat metabolism, building cellular health, and is the foundation of a strong aerobic fitness base.

When you train in this zone, your body uses oxygen to produce energy, which helps to improve your body’s ability to use oxygen and increase your endurance.

Training in zone 2 can also help you burn fat more efficiently, as your body uses stored fat as a primary source of energy during this type of aerobic exercise.

Additionally, zone 2 training can improve your overall health, reduce stress levels, and help to prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

We predominately use a Wattbike for this test due to its accuracy and the fact that we can bring it to your workplace should you wish.

• BLOOD TEST/EVALUATION OF CURRENT RESULTS

We can arrange a bespoke blood panel designed around a person’s sex, age, background, and goals.

Understanding what is going on inside a person’s body is just as important as the ‘external’ testing we carry out and can not only show up any immediate issues but also.

Over time can be used to show trends in overall health.

If an individual has had a full blood test carried out within the last 12 months, we can look over the results and advise.

• DETAILED REVIEW AND CONSULTATION

This stage is to go over the results from the test. We go over the report and start the design process for making the desired changes.

The review gives plenty of time for your employees to ask questions and get help with specific goals.

• DIETICIAN DESIGNED BESPOKE NUTRITION PLAN

The nutritional intervention is based on the metabolic report and the employee’s goals and is tailored to the individual by highly experienced dieticians.

If a blood test has been carried out, we can send those results to further improve the plan.

There are no cookie-cutter plans in our nutritional help, it’s all tailored to the individual, their goals and the results of the testing.

• 12 WEEK INDIVIDUALISED PROGRAMME

We design a detailed 12-week programme based both on the report and the desired goals of the employee.

The programme is designed around time restraints, fitness levels and experience.

We’ve found programming gives a real purpose – this helps massively.

• SLEEP HYGIENE & WELLNESS

Getting enough restful sleep is a vital part of any health and wellness plan.

We have tips and coaching designed to aid all aspects of this.

• ONGOING COACHING FOR 12 WEEKS

Alongside the 12-week programme, we offer on-demand and scheduled coaching.

We’ve found this helps participants to become comfortable with the new habits and helps them reach their goals far more effectively than going it alone.
